PlayRank Matrix · Canada
Cookie and Browser Storage Policy
This page explains how PlayRank Matrix uses a small amount of browser storage to remember your privacy choice, how to change that choice, and how to remove it. The guide is designed for Canadian readers and covers storage set by this site itself.
Effective date: 20 October 2026
3. Choosing and changing preferences
On a first visit, the consent panel presents the available choice. You can accept optional purposes or reject them. The necessary preference record remains available in either case so the site can remember which option you selected. The panel's controls are separate from the guide's articles, rankings, and navigation; you can continue reading without accepting optional purposes.
To revisit the choice, use Cookie settings in the site footer. The settings control reopens the existing consent interface, where you can review and revise your selection. A revised choice is saved with a new timestamp and is used on reload and when you move between pages on this site. If browser storage is unavailable, the page content remains readable, but the browser may not retain your selection after the current session.
Withdrawing a previous acceptance does not prevent access to the guide. Choose the rejection option in Cookie settings to replace the saved choice. This site does not treat continued browsing as consent to optional tracking, and it does not claim that an optional tracker is active merely because the panel offers accept and reject controls.
4. Browser controls
You can remove the saved preference through your browser's privacy or site-data controls. Look for data associated with playrankmatrix.com, then clear its local storage or site data. Browser menus differ, so consult the help for your browser if you need exact steps. Clearing the preference removes the remembered choice; the consent panel can appear again the next time the site is opened.
You may also use a private browsing window or configure your browser to block site storage. In those cases the page should remain available, but the choice might not persist between visits or after the private session ends. You may need to make a selection again. Browser-level blocking can affect other site features too, so the result depends on the browser and settings you choose.
These controls apply only to data stored by this origin. If you visit an external game publisher or another linked service, its cookies and local storage are governed by that provider's own policy and browser controls. Clearing PlayRank Matrix data does not clear another provider's records, and changing another provider's settings does not alter this site's saved preference.
5. Updates to this policy
This policy is effective 20 October 2026. We may revise it when the site changes, when browser behavior warrants clearer instructions, or when our storage practices need to be described more precisely. The date above identifies the latest policy update. Please review the inventory and instructions again after a material change.
If a new storage item or purpose is introduced, the inventory should be updated to explain what it does and how long it remains. Any optional purpose should be presented for a fresh choice before it is used. A change to this text alone does not silently turn on optional tracking or change a previously saved selection.
Browser vendors may also change how storage works or how their controls are labelled. Such changes can affect the steps available in a particular browser, while the site's own description remains focused on the storage it sets. Contact us if a step on this page no longer matches the controls you see.
6. Questions about storage
PlayRank Matrix is an independent games guide for Canadian readers. For questions about the browser storage described here, contact the privacy desk at [email protected]. Messages are reviewed Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 Eastern Time. Include enough detail to identify the issue, but do not send passwords, payment details, or other sensitive account information by email.
For general reader questions, corrections, or suggestions about the guide, use the contact information on the Contact the Editors page. Requests about other personal information and how it is handled are covered by the Privacy Policy. These channels help us route browser-storage questions separately from editorial feedback.
We will make reasonable efforts to respond to a clear request and explain the available browser steps. Nothing in this policy limits rights that apply to you under Canadian law. Any limitation of responsibility is subject to the rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
